What is NAMI?
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) – Greenville, South Carolina is a non-profit, grass-roots organization offering education, support, and advocacy for those with mental health challenges and their friends and families.
Our Mission
The mission of NAMI Greenville is to improve the quality of life and treatment for those who live with mental health issues and their family members through education, support, and advocacy.
How We Work
Our Programs are funded by volunteer-driven annual events, corporate and private donations, and grants. NAMI Greenville does not receive state or federal funds. We received our first-ever national grant in 2007 from NAMI National for our Prison Outreach Program. Our goal is to continue to find grants which will help us fund our mission; however, we will still have to rely heavily on community monetary support to sustain our level of commitment to those in need in the Greenville area.
